Sustainability

When planning the FröbelHöfe project, we placed great importance on sustainability, reduction of CO₂ emissions, adaptation to future climate changes, and the creation of a healthy indoor environment.

Protecting Valuable Agricultural Land

By choosing a location with pre-existing development, we protect valuable farmland, utilize existing infrastructure efficiently, and thus reduce CO2 emissions during the construction phase, minimizing the project’s ecological footprint.

Green Roofs, Clean Air

Green roofs contribute to improved air quality, reduce urban heat islands, promote biodiversity, and at the same time serve as natural rainwater reservoirs.

Sustainable Rainwater Management

All rainwater infiltrates into the ground, which significantly contributes to maintaining the natural water cycle, reduces flood risk, improves groundwater quality, and prevents the lowering of the groundwater level.

Water Saving with Smart Greening

By planting native species adapted to local conditions and by automatically watering the greenery, controlled by moisture sensors and using collected rainwater, we save valuable drinking water.

Annual Savings of 6 Million Liters of Drinking Water

With water-saving fittings and sanitary installations in the FröbelHöfe project, we save up to 6.24 million liters of drinking water annually.

30% Lower Energy Costs for Hot Water

Thermostatic fittings and a self-regulating system to maintain water temperature in the pipes enable cost savings of 30% for heating hot water.

E-Mobility with Green Electricity

We promote sustainable and low-emission mobility by installing infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations in 70% of parking spaces. Charging is done with 100% ecological and emission-free electricity, which contributes to reducing emissions in the city, improving air quality, and creating a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.

Bicycle-Friendly and Climate-Conscious

The project features extensive cycling infrastructure that reduces traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as improves air quality. This promotes the ecological stability of the urban environment and supports a healthier lifestyle for residents.

Air Conditioning with an Environmental Focus

The environmentally friendly refrigerants used in the air conditioning systems of the top-floor apartments significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contribute to environmental protection, and protect the ozone layer.

90% Recycling on Site

We place great emphasis on the recycling of construction waste. Our main contractor has implemented a central management system for construction waste recycling, resulting in 90% of the project’s construction waste being recycled or reused. This contributes to reducing landfill waste, protecting natural resources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and environmental protection.

Sustainability through Certified Partners

Our projects can only be carried out by general contractors who have calculated their Corporate Carbon Footprint according to DIN EN ISO 14064 and whose precast concrete production plants are certified by the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC). This approach ensures that we collaborate with partners committed to minimizing their environmental impact and adhering to the highest sustainability standards.
