While architects and landscape architects develop the design concept of a residential quarter, an experienced construction partner is needed to turn it into reality. At FröbelHöfe, this role is fulfilled by Dreßler Bau.
As the general contractor, the company is responsible for the construction of the project. According to the project company, the focus is particularly on quality, adherence to deadlines and a smooth construction process. Dreßler Bau has already been working with CTR on demanding new-build projects for many years.
Dreßler Bau was founded in 1913 and is now managed as a fourth-generation family business. Over the decades, the company has developed from a regional masonry contractor into a construction company operating throughout Germany, with six locations and around 600 employees. One of its offices is located in Dresden.
The company focuses primarily on turnkey building construction. Its services include residential, commercial and industrial buildings, as well as construction within existing structures and the renovation of historically significant buildings.
Several specialist disciplines come together at FröbelHöfe. A3 Architekten developed the architectural design of the residential buildings, while Noack Landscape Architects are responsible for the outdoor spaces. As the general contractor, Dreßler Bau manages the construction of the project.
The company therefore forms the link between the planning specifications and their implementation on site. The various construction services and trades must be coordinated and integrated into a shared construction schedule.
This coordination is particularly important for an ensemble of eight individually designed residential buildings. Different building sizes, façade designs, floor plans and technical requirements all have to be implemented as part of one coherent project.
Dreßler Bau specialises in the turnkey construction of buildings. The company combines traditional engineering expertise with construction planning, project management and modern technologies. According to the company, forward-looking planning, open communication and a collaborative approach to solving challenges play a central role in the delivery of its projects.
The Dresden branch was established in 2005. In addition to conventional building construction, the local team also has experience in the renovation and reconstruction of historic buildings. Dreßler Bau is therefore familiar with both modern construction projects and the particular architectural context of Dresden.
A residential quarter such as FröbelHöfe is created through the cooperation of many different parties. Architecture, landscape design, technical planning and construction must be continuously coordinated.
As the general contractor, Dreßler Bau plays a central role in this process. The shared objective is to translate the quality of the project’s design reliably into built form and to complete the eight residential buildings step by step.
The construction of FröbelHöfe is supported by Dreßler Bau, a family-owned company with more than a century of construction experience and many years of expertise in turnkey building construction.
Together with the architects, landscape architects, specialist planners and CTR, the company is helping to create a new residential quarter in the heart of Dresden’s Friedrichstadt district.
